Katherine first discovered yoga during a trip to India over twenty years ago and has been teaching for more than five.
For Katherine yoga starts with the body. It is a point of focus, a kind of meditation as we explore postures. If done with attention and compassion, over time the body naturally becomes more flexible, stronger and more balanced. At the same time the mind starts to quieten, giving rise to a sense of peace and well being.
Katherine holds a 500 hrs Yoga Teaching Certificate with much of her teaching inspired by the great teacher B.S.K. Iyengar as well as her interest in Mindfulness. The yoga approach you will experience in the classes focuses on poise and alignment with an emphasis on bringing oneself to the present moment.
